A get together was held at Tudawe Children Development Centre in March 2015 with the participation of children who were grown up there since 1991. It was organized by the children currently living there which was a concept of their chief matron.
Children who lived there in past have completed their school education and they got the ability to build their own lives. Most of them got married and having their own families now. Some were occupied as nursing officers, accountants and government officers. So they have been achieved a better position in the society now. By taking part in this event they have shown that they still remember the place where they were nurtured.
By organizing an event like this both parties were able to share their knowledge, experience, refresh their relationships. There were lot to gain and learn for the children from their elder sisters. This function was sponsored by Friends Kinderhilfe International e.V. There were speeches delivered by the guests from Department of Probation & Child Care Services, Tudawe Brothers Pvt Ltd and specially venerable priest of Daladawatta temple. The event was made eminent by a concert presented by the children showing their talents.
